The Other Side of Rush

I have barely heard from my daughter the last week. This was expected since she was going through rush for 5 extremely busy days. This time she was on the other side of the process as a member of the sorority Chi Omega and recruiting new pledges. I was amazed at how time consuming the process is. She moved back to school a week early for an intensive week of all day practices. After school started they continued working hard during evenings and weekends working on their skits, songs, and the activities surrounding the pending rush week. Being a part of the greek system is definitely a time commitment, but can also be a very fulfilling piece of college life. Here she is in the final days before rush making decorations.

How cute is this!

Finally on bid day they celebrated their hard work and success and are thrilled with their new pledge class!

She is now spending the weekend with her nose to the grind studying for a big test on Monday. We are also making plans to fly her home in a few weeks- can't wait!
